Will Tahoe work on MacBook Pro 2016 (13.2)?

· Q&A · by @xiaobiiing

Hi,

I used OCLP T2 4.0.0.180010.1 (4.0.0 alpha 18.10.1) to install macOS Tahoe 26.7 on my 13-inch MacBook Pro (2016, MacBookPro13,2).

After booting into the newly installed system, I found that:

Wi-Fi does not work.
Touch ID cannot be set up or used.
There is no graphics acceleration / graphics driver.

I would like to know whether MacBookPro13,2 is not supported by OCLP T2 yet, or whether I may have done something incorrectly during the installation process.

Thank you!

Forgot to tell you that to install the T1 patches, you need to enable Experimental Features first.
To do so, go to Settings > Enable Experimental Features
Keep in mind that these are experimental and may not work equally on every T1 Macs.

Thank you for the clarification.
I enabled Experimental Features in OCLP T2 and installed the patches, then rebooted the Mac.
Unfortunately, the situation remains unchanged

Hi, thanks for testing. I found two bugs causing this:
Graphics patcher ignored the 'Experimental Features' toggle.
Wi-Fi patcher skipped the framework downgrade on Tahoe.
I pushed fixes for both. Rebuild your EFI and root patch again on the next nightly. Note: TouchID is intentionally disabled on Tahoe right now because the legacy daemons crash the OS.
