Is it compatible with the 2017 MacBook Air (model 7,1) with an i5 processor?

· Q&A · by @ProfMPPDias

First of all, I want to thank you very much for continuing this wonderful project.

I’m really keen to install Tahoe on my MacBook Air 7.1 (2017) with an i5 processor. Do you know if I can install Tahoe using your OCLP-T2?

You can, but since it uses the Broadwell architecture, no graphics acceleration is available at this time.
It uses Metal 3802.

WiFi not sure but you can try. The rest should work fine.

Thanks for the reply. It's best to stick with Sequoia for now. I hope you make some progress on the port for the MacBook Air 7.1. 🙏

I got WiFi working on this. I installed the
root patch,
disabled AirportBRCMFixup,
installed
https://github.com/kgp-macPro/BroadcomVTD-Tahoe,

Bluetooth is debatable but seems to work with the normal fixes.
