If you want I can try to speak English, sorry that I didn't.

Hi, I entered the code just like in my previous post. The image is in another comment. When I tried to apply the root patch, it said "revert" again. I’ve now downloaded the public version. I pressed "revert," and it says "revert" again.

@albert-mueller ·

@albert-mueller ·

Ich spreche sowieso besser Deutsch als Englisch. Mein Englisch ist erst meine dritte Sprache, also werde besser Deutsch verstehen.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

Ok ich werde beides sprechen. Vielen Dank
Okay, I'll speak both. Thank you very much.

@Medelcartelinc ·

Hi @UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 (English is totally fine!),

The reason OCLP keeps asking for a revert is because your APFS root volume is currently unsealed or in a pending snapshot revert state. OCLP will not allow applying fresh patches until the system restarts on a clean snapshot.

To fix this:

  1. In OCLP, click Revert Root Patches and wait for it to complete.
  2. Reboot your Mac immediately. (A reboot is required for macOS to mount the clean snapshot).
  3. After rebooting, open OCLP: the button should now say Start Root Patching.
  4. Make sure you are using the latest version (4.0.0.18003.1 or our build 4.0.0.18002.9), then apply the patches and reboot once more.

@Medelcartelinc

Hi, ok thank you I using 4.0.0.10...6 I don't know the complete Name haha. But I already press Revert Root Patch and restart my MacBook. Then I Go to OCLP T2 4..... and he already Said Again: Revert Root Patch before Root Patch. I already install a new Sytsem (MacOS 26.6.1)

@albert-mueller

(macOS 26.6.1)

Hi @UnsupportedmacwithMacos26, version 4.0.0.18002.6 had a bug with snapshot detection. Please test the latest release (4.0.0.18003.2): https://github.com/Medelcartelinc/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher-T2/releases/tag/4.0.0.18003.2-exp-tahoe-beta. You can test root patching directly from there.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

Ok, thx I will Check it.

Ok. Vielen Dank. Ich werde es testen. :)

Habe mit Claude den Fehler gefunden:

@Medelcartelinc ·

Great catch Albert! Just cherry-picked this fix into our branch on our fork as well so users can test stage-two root patching without the loop.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

Ok, I Check it with the new Version of OCLP T2 4.0.0.18003.1 and I have the Same Problem.

@Medelcartelinc ·

Hi @UnsupportedmacwithMacos26, please note that version 4.0.0.18003.1 does not contain the root patch detection fix yet. Try version 4.0.0.18003.3 from our fork where Albert’s fix and startup patches are included: https://github.com/Medelcartelinc/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher-T2/releases/tag/4.0.0.18003.3-exp-tahoe-beta. Let us know if the revert prompt disappears.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

Ok, now i test it and it already have the Same Problem. The Wifi Problem is away. Look at the Picture before.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26

Quick Workaround to unblock Root Patching right now:

The reason Start Root Patching is disabled is because a manifest plist was preserved on your Data volume (/Library/Application Support/Dortania/) from the first stage or a previous run, causing the patcher to believe a revert is required.

Open Terminal and run:

sudo rm -f "/Library/Application Support/Dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher.plist"
sudo rm -f "/Library/Application Support/Dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher-Lifecycle.plist"

Once removed, re-open OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher, click Post-Install Root Patch, and the Start Root Patching button will now be active and ready to install Intel Skylake Graphics, Modern Audio, and PCIe FaceTime Camera!

Fix:

We have addressed this in commit fbc537b:

  1. _unpatch_root_vol() now explicitly cleans up any lingering manifest plists from both the root mount and /Library/Application Support/Dortania/.
  2. _manifest_requires_revert() no longer triggers REPATCHING_NOT_SUPPORTED when hardware patches detected for your machine (such as Skylake graphics or audio) are still pending installation beyond stage 1 wireless.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

Ok thank you very much I'll Check it:)

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

Hi, Root Patching is now unlocked, and the KDK is detected correctly. However, Root Patching fails when trying to mount Universal-Binaries.dmg. It returns: “hdiutil: attach failed – Permission denied”. Could you please take a look?

@albert-mueller ·

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

Ja klar sobald ich zuhause bin.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26

How to recover your system into Safe Mode:

  1. Shut down your Mac completely.
  2. Turn it on, and in the OpenCore boot picker, highlight your macOS disk.
  3. Hold down the Shift key and press Enter (keep holding Shift until the Apple logo and progress bar appear).
    • Alternatively, add -x to boot-args in OpenCore to force Safe Mode.
  4. Once you reach the desktop (Safe Mode runs unaccelerated VESA graphics), open OpenCore Legacy Patcher and click Revert Root Patches, then restart. This will return your system to a bootable display state.

Why this happens on MacBookPro13,1 (Late 2016 without Touch Bar):
Your machine uses Intel Skylake Iris Graphics 540. In macOS 26 Tahoe, Apple dropped the legacy Skylake graphics framework. When the legacy Skylake driver is root-patched, WindowServer starts (which is why the cursor moves and audio plays), but the Skylake framebuffer fails to initialize the internal display output, resulting in the black screen. Reverting root patches via Safe Mode lets you use the system while the Skylake graphics patch set for macOS 26 is being corrected.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

Ok thank you very much. You helping me soll much. Tranks for all you do. I still waiting.

@albert-mueller did you solve the Problem on the Mac with the newest Version of OClP T2?

@Medelcartelinc ·

I found the issue: in macOS 15, Apple completely removed support for the -passphrase flag in hdiutil, causing the elevated mount to fail with Permission Denied.
I have just pushed a fix to our fork using a compatible method. Please wait for @albert-mueller to release a new official build with this fix.

@UnsupportedmacwithMacos26 ·

@Medelcartelinc thank you very much I wait for the next Version.

What is a Moderate Issue it come After I comment something.

@albert-mueller ·

What is it?

image
